Douro Tour

Quinta no Douro

Alto Douro Vinhateiro is an area particularly representative of the landscape that characterizes the vast Douro Demarcated Region, the oldest regulated wine-growing region in the world. The Alto Douro cultural landscape combines the monumental nature of the Douro river valley, made up of steep slopes and poor and rugged soils, with the ancestral and continuous action of man, adapting the space to the Mediterranean-type agricultural needs that the region supports. In the tour of the Douro you will enjoy these magnificent landscapes and culture, will visit a farm and learn about the process of manufacturing the famous Port wine, taste this wine of unique character and so appreciated throughout the world and take a ride along the Douro river in a traditional rabelo boat, used in the past to transport the wine.
